Printers

I produce all prints using my Epson Sure Colour professional giclée printers at a high definition 2880 x 1440 dpi, 98% pantone, using genuine Epson UV resistant 10 colour 100% pigmented inks, guaranteed lightfast for 75 years on the highest quality Epson media.

The quality is absolutely superb…

Size:

The sizes in the price list are the standard sizes I regularly print at, though I can also print at any intermediate image or media size from A4 up to 44″ on the shortest side, at a proportionate price.

Media:

I stock the following canvas and paper media that I use for my own artwork prints and highly recommend:

  • Epson 350gsm Premium Satin Canvas – For all sizes
  • Epson 300 gsm Smooth Natural Fine Art Cotton Art Paper – These are cut sheets for media sizes up to A2
  • Colourbyte Silky Smooth 310gsm White Cotton Rag Archival Art Paper – These are cut sheets for media sizes up to A2
  • Colourbyte Heavy Matt Coated 230gsm Premium Art Paper – For roll feed media sizes above A2
  • I can offer any commercially available media for orders that would make stocking additional media viable. Contact me to discuss

Canvas prints are suitable for stretching, following which they may be hung framed or unframed. They may also be mounted on board and framed. Whilst I do this myself for my own artwork, all good bespoke framers are able to do either and I can offer advice if required. If the print will be stretched, a 5cm border is required.

Canvas prints are ideal for adding gesso texture, paint and varnishing if required.

Both canvas and paper prints are suitable for adding metal leaf, though canvas tends to work best, especially when sealed to prevent tarnishing and oxidisation.

Paper prints should be mounted on board and framed behind glass for protection.

Borders:

There will normally be a border of approximately 1cm however this may be slightly more on two sides of the image, depending upon the aspect ratio.

For prints on cut sheet paper – the image size will be slightly smaller than the media size due to the border.

For prints on roll feed media – the image will be the same as the media size on one side and may be slightly longer or shorter on the other side depending upon the aspect ratio of the image.

A larger border can be provided for paper prints if required, to leave space for signing and adding edition information.

The price will increase by 10% for a 5cm border.
