Wokingham Town Hall - By Heather Simmonds
A view of Wokingham Town Hall from Denmark Street
These are Museum Quality Fine Art Giclée Prints on 280gsm cotton rag archival quality smooth bright white paper, taken from a high resolution scan of Heather's original watercolour painting. They are totally lightfast and produced by ourselves at an extremely high resolution 2880 x 1440 dpi using genuine Epson UV resistant 10 colour 100% pigmented inks.
The size shown is the media size and the image has a 14mm border containing the title and signature.
The prints are supplied mounted with a lightweight backing board and in a cello sleeve for protection. They should be framed behind glass for protection with the mount separating the print from the glass. The mount's outside dimensions for selecting a frame are as follows:
- A4 - 16" x 12" - 40.5cm x 30.5cm
- A3 - 20" x 16" - 50.8cm x 40.6cm
- A2 - 27.5" x 19.75" - 69.7cm x 50cm
These prints are a perfect gift for yourself or someone special, and are something much more individual and personal than a cheap poster or print of a photograph.
Be careful of poor quality prints from other suppliers that use either low quality images, low resolution non-giclee printers, non-branded inks or non-branded media, as you will only be disappointed.
Prints purchased within the gallery can be supplied framed. We can also print at any specific custom size up to 112cm (44") on the shortest dimension and in addition, we can also supply prints on canvas or metal. Contact us for details and pricing.
Heather was born in Bournemouth in 1934; after four years as a painter and graphic artist, she was awarded a travelling scholarship to Italy, where she studied Florentine and Renaissance painting. In 1959 Heather submitted work to the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors, and Engravers and was accepted as an associate member in 1960 and elected to full membership in 1962.
After several years as a technical and display artist in the industry, Heather expanded her range of commissions and, in 1990, began the collection of English watercolour scenes we know today. Her unique gift captures their charm and atmosphere in memorable detail.
Heather is sadly no longer with us, though prints of her artwork are kindly offered in collaboration with the heir of her estate.
