We are thrilled to bits with our framed River Thames Map . Our celebration gift to ourselves for completing our walk along The Thames Path.. it has taken 10 years to get around to it! … but worth the wait. Josh us was really interested in our project and did a fabulous job .

Richard’s advice for the frame was spot on for my piece of hand sewn art work, and also the care advice. The frame is well made so that the final result is perfect.

I needed a digital image of some artwork, but because it was large and I needed high quality, it was tricky finding somewhere in the South, but not in London, with a good enough scanner. R Young Art Gallery has a state-of-the art scanner and the capability to digitize any size of artwork. Richard provided various resolution scans and retouched the image to make it suitable for resizing and publication. Prices are very reasonable.
If you have an art portfolio that you’d like as digital images, take it to Richard.

Fabulous independent local framing shop. I took in 3 important pieces for framing, Joshua has great vision re colours, frames and mounts. I find these jobs, deciding on colours, frames, rather stressful but Joshua helped greatly and I now have 3 beautiful pictures up in my house. Overall, Excellent, prompt service. #supportlocal

I have attended several evening art events at R Young Art, with Daren Mason Wildlife Artist, Jean Kidwell Watercolour Artist and Richard Young himself. I have enjoyed every single one and would highly recommend doing a class at the gallery. Not only are they a great stress relief, but you are guaranteed to end up with a lovely piece of artwork.

Just loved the evening. Was a lot of fun. Loved the painting techniques we used and loved the end result. Will definitely be back to do the Kingfisher in July.

I really enjoyed the paint night. Lisa was very professional and informative. She kept us all calm and encouraged us all along. She was super organised and the class was well stocked with brushes and paints. Even though I cannot draw a stick man I walked out of there feeling quite talented.

Painting classes at this local gallery in the heart of Wokingham have re-ignited my love of art and are helping to bring balance back to my life. Everyone helping to run the classes couldn’t be more helpful and attentive. And the teaching is a joy: instructive, encouraging, positive, and inclusive. Already working out which will be the 3rd class to take - so much to choose from!

I love this evening out, it’s so much fun. I’m no artist but that feeling you get when you’ve produced something you never thought you could is beautiful.

Good morning I wanted to send you a very big THANK YOU for the children’s art class yesterday. My daughter and her friends had a fantastic time and are so very proud of their art work - we had to FaceTime both sets of grandparents to show it off when we got home! Another fabulous couple of hours spent painting. This time a pop art cow. A wonderfully indulgent time with the paints and brushes and your own masterpiece at the end. Would highly recommend.

I just wanted to say your exhibition at our hospital is absolutely beautiful. As well as admiring it myself, I have seen so many people (staff, patients and visitors) just captured and absorbed by the beauty of your work.

Richard young art gallery in Wokingham is a fairly new but lovely boutique gallery. I recently had something framed and it looks lovely. Richard took time to explain and demonstrate a variety of different frames. I will definitely be using them again. A fab selection of artwork for sale & I may consider one of their painting evenings. I would say a hidden gem!

He restored a damaged poster for me of over fifty years old that is of great sentimental value to me , he removed the age lines, condensation marks and fitted a beautiful frame with invisible glass. Although his website provides high quality images - photos and websites simply can not do justice the work that he produces. It is stunning.
